What a crazy shot, exactly where I am right now with shadows/highlights. Excellent in B&W (I know it was an obvious choice).
The swirl carries me through this wonderland of contrast and shapes, the closed eyelashes, the twin trees (by the way my nit-pick is here... please get rid of that thing left side of the tree, pretty please).. regardless of that obstacle spoiling my journey through the total whiteness this is worthy of my top pick. 10

I quite like this, because it has a timeless way of expressing what photography can do, mix the stillness of a captured split second- with the frenetic quality of a captured action- for that, it is brilliant.
