Actually, I love this idea. Take the ordinary and give it a disorienting twist. The cropping doesn't work for me, and that is the only thing I would change. Great thinking. I like the creative brain behind this shot. When you take an icon and turn it on its ear it gives a nice iconoclastic shove to your viewers' perception of the world. Bravo to a thinking photographer...8

Nice idea, pretty good tones, though I think you could have used a little reflected light frontal. Also I note that there's a lack of clarity in parts of the photo that look like this was shot with too low of a shutter speed. Still, good idea.

I feel the focus should have been most clear on the hands and book. Adjusting contrast down to bring the short shadow to the left alittle (of image) and also decrease the brilliance of the light just under the book might have also improved this image. 6. Good lcuk.
