My Tree of Life by DennisheckmanComment by Gallatin: A very cute shot, I sure wish I could send you all the squirrels from my place, can't afford all the bird feed for both them and the birds!!! Congrats on your ribbon. |

The Back 40by DennisheckmanComment by J-Me: is that burning that you've done with the tracks in the distance? Maybe, a bit too heavy handed with it? Not sure what I'm seeing but, doesn't look like natural tracks. However, nice shot. (not scoring) |

My Tree of Life by DennisheckmanComment by Dennisheckman: Originally posted by bergiekat: Double trouble! What great detail and curious if you used flash on this. |
No flash was used, just that massive ISO of 12800 and the rest was done with careful processing. I also used my 2X extender which takes that 70-200 lens aperture to f/8. Not much light comes through with that. I also used the spot metering setting since it was actually fairly darker inside the tree trunk. I didnt want to take the chance of the evaluative setting with a challenging exposure like that.
Thanks again everyone for all your great comments! Very Happy with the outcome of this shot. |

The Back 40by DennisheckmanComment by jagar: Got to be one of my favorites in this challenge, love the tonality of the grasses and the path leading through. |
