Very nice blue on the sea and the sky. The placement of the bush in the frame was also nicely done. What i don't like in this image is the very bright sand. You may have interpreted the challenge as simply as to take a photo during midday, so that's why the blown out highlights in the sand. To me, the wording on the challenge tells me to take a photo during midday and "overcome" the harsh light. One way to overcome that is to compensate for exposure of the bright areas and fill for the shadows. I believe that was not done here.

I normally don't like these simple photos but this one has a serene feeling, i think the bush in the corner does everything.

I like this concept a lot! It is a *hair* dark for my tastes....a bit hard to make out the texture in the jeans.
