Drifting into the sunset

trainComment by train: Hi to you all
Just to say a Big 'Thank you' to all the kind people and nice words regarding my silhouette image. I am really proud of it and it has definately given me a buzz winning a blue ribbon.
I strive for perfection and I think this was one of those rare moments I was very lucky to be in the right place at the right time and to be able to use my camera in the right way. The weather was just perfect.
I love my little camera and it has given me heaps of pleasure I really enjoy belonging to D P C and I have found really nice people who write to me regulary through this site.
I am sure my photography has improved and I find myself looking at the world in a very different way. I think sometimes my family think I have lost the plot when we are out for walks and I drift off to photograph a flower or whatever but I do enjoy it very much. Some of the challenges I have had to really struggle with but apart from one that I down loaded wrong onto the site I think I am definately a much improved
photographer.
So Thank you once again for the vote and for making my day a happy one
I had my brother in law from the U K with me when I took the silhouette image and he was going back to the U K so I quickly got Imageland in Hamilton to run off a copy for him to take home. the manager at Imageland liked it so much that he wanted to print it off on canvas ( it was the first he has done on his new machine) I think the size is 24inchs x 18 inchs (not sure I think thats right) and he has framed it and put it on show It looks fantastic on canvas, he is not selling it and it has my (c) and name on it proudly displayed in the shop window.
I'll get off my soap box now LOL!
Thanks again
Regards
Sally
