Over-grownby NukktaComment by TooCool: Overgrown and underlit... Just a touch of fill light would have done wonders!

Over-grownby NukktaComment by Cam: Egads, you have some nasty shadows.
On the plus side, nice background and a cool vine growning up the sign. Message edited by author 2004-01-28 00:33:59. |

Over-grownby NukktaComment by Imagineer: Off-centre composition would have made this more pleasing - and I feel that I should read some humour into this, but I'm not sure where.
Perhaps, if the overgrowth/delapidation is the emphasis here, then you should have taken it closer up, viewed from the ground, and lost the distracting context of lake and houses. |

Re-done.jpgby NukktaComment by jonpink: no, still quite dull - no contrast - the bird isn't even looking into the camera, and the colors are flat. Next time, shoot when bright and sunny, with a little cloud and see the difference ;)

Re-done.jpgby NukktaComment by amsmyth: Yes. I would have lifted my score quite a bit. I like the image and this gives it some strength |

Re-done.jpgby NukktaComment by C-Fox: Too me still a little bland, in that I can't see the animal's (in this case bird's) eye. Normally that is the part people relate to the most as convaying expression. |

Over-grownby NukktaComment by nds: Not bad, but IMHO there ist some space for improvement too. It could have been more interesting with an off-centered position of the roadsign. By using another aparture (e.g. F 2.0), the background could have been more unsharp and less distracting. Nevertheless good luck for the challenge! |
