Little variation in light across the in-focus areas of the hat - leaves little impression of the feel of the surface. The out of focus line of the brim where it curls up really pulls the eye, to poor effect I fear. There is far more texture visible in the extreme top right of frame, but your composition has relegated that area so far that it barely registers without a deliberate search.

Looks like a straw hat. I like the textures, however, the out of focus edge really cuts throught the photo for me. because it's the only thing that is of soft focus, it really draws my attention and I find myself looking at it more than at the texture of the hat. I like the colors and the lighting seems good. I also like where you have placed it within the frame. ~Heather~

This picture is very nice, but it is sort of hard to tell what the rose is, and you get a light glare on the front piano keys. But over all, it is a beautiful picture.
