The border on this photo is overkill. It isn't necesary. This stuffed toy does make you feel like he is "at rest" -- he conveys the message but I don't think it is the best example.

Tasty treats for some lizard no doubt? Nice lighting, and the patterns created by the eggshell-like carton are interesting. Perhaps more contrast or more stark lighting would add even more interest to this photo.

A rotation adjustment of roughly 1 degree to the right would make the side of the steeple straight... and that's the only complaint I have. The sky works well as negative space here, empacizing the church and therefore your idea. Too bad the weather wasn't nicer, since the overall photo is a bit dark, but works ok for this.
