How cute! To bad he grew a light out of his head! Maybe if this was from a different angle? The colors and clarity are perfect and the arms being cut off really help the picture by drawing you from one side to the other. A 7 to start

The sepia here works nicely to evoke nostalgic feeling, perhaps of when prayer was a more respected form of communication. You might try to experiment with just a bit more contrast to have darker darks and lighter lights. I would also recommend using natural light instead of a flash whenever possible. Nice, balanced composition.

What is so amazing about this photo is that the candy hasn't changed much is 20 years. I don't have children, but when I trick-or-treated, the candy looked exactly the same!

I would have increased the depth of field a bit. It's too narrow, and the focus is off-center.

The composition is good, rules of thirds etc. The whole image comes over a little on the flat side. A boost in the contrasts would have done this wonders, especially bringing out the colors in the ball more.

Shame about the unsttractive shadow in the background. Not sure about your orange/brown colour tint. Some nasty glare from the table and mug. Nice idea for the challenge though. 4
