The Invisible Man - H.G. Wellsby Alex_PetriniComment by Osiris1975: Loved this picture, the only thing I'd have done differently is position the glasses a bit higher, because they look like they'd be about upper-lip level on a real person, so it breaks the illusion somewhat that they aren't where the viewer would expect them to be. |

The Invisible Man - H.G. Wellsby Alex_PetriniComment by CNovack: A good attempt in bringing the Invisible Man out and onto the cover:-) Lighting is good and the details and composition is strong. There are a few things that could have been done to make this composition even more stronger. First there is the sunglasses resting on what would be the neck. It would strengthen the illusion if the glasses were floating in mid-air like that of the hat. To have it rest on a solid object ruins the illusion of an 'invisible man'. Very fine fishing wire tied to the back of both temples and one on the bridge of the glasses attached to the hat would give it the stability it needed to float under the hat (and if the line showed up due to the angle of lighting one is allowed to edit it out in Advanced Editing) The other small thing is be careful of the lighting - there are faint shadows on the inside of the underside of the hat that ruins the illusion. |

Remote Controlby Alex_PetriniComment by vawendy: I enjoyed looking at this shot. Your eye is drawn immediately to the vacuum, and I thought "well done". I saw the hand up, but didn't notice the fingers, at first, I noticed it more on your right hand, and then went back and noticed the left hand. Then I saw the desat on the head.
Marvelous details! -9- |
