And finally tonight ... Newest members of local herd make their public debutby mefnjComment by Skip: One of my favorite type of newspaper assignments is to capture "wild art", which is defined as "Stand-Alone, Feature Shot, Enterprise art are found moments that are intended to be realistic slices of everyday life" (definition taken from this glossary). These are typically images that caption themselves, not needing a lot of words to get their point across. For this challenge, I'm scoring images as whether I'd like to see them on the front page of a paper as feel good wild art. If I don't think they would make the paper, I'm then asking myself, "does it make me feel good?" If it doesn't do much for me, well then, oh well...
Aw, cute! So you score on the "feel good" (who can argue against that?!?). On the processing, you could have taken advantage of the advanced editing rules to balance out contrast. The doe's head is nearly lost in the leaves and Bambi's face is so dark that there are hardly any details. When you have a good image to begin with, you need to take advantage of the tools at your disposal to make the most of the image, especially in a challenge. |

Just Beyond The Veilby mefnjComment by Devinder: As a graphic, this may have been almost generic, but as a photography, It makes me really curious about the technique and setup. Nicely done |
