So very audacious. First of all, I love the angle you chose, although this is a complex one to handle properly in a composite - which you managed perfectly. Then, your choice of colors works beautifully, the rainbow-ish flare is a nice touch, and the glowing effect on the highlights brings the final touch. I say, great work.

It's hard today to make an image that stands out technically, modern digital camersas are that good. Some photographers deliberately trash camera control to create a retro look, usually with unattractvely blurred results, others turn to specialist filters. Sticking your head up your backside and pretending to be offended when such filters are used is silly when such good results are obtained, and instead of slamming creativity we ought to be embracing and exploring these tools like we would with any other new innovation in photography.

i played with bw and less saturated colors... but then i felt the bright colors fit the "picasso" style more. it is not my personal preference, through.
