this was almost a fool the viewer redux... this is the top of a deer skull, close up on the bone plate fusion zones. it was a younger deer, so the fusions were no complete and fading. call it skull-techtonics ;-)
i believe the dendritic river-like features towards the edges are part lf the sinus/nasal drainage architecture, since they were associated with cavities, which i cropped off.
and the slight discoloration and few hairs did their part to give it an earthly look. |
