This really would have worked for me, if it were just a cube, and all duo. The balance is lovely, the grain, whether imposed or in the scene, perfect, the photograph, but for the colour and the fact that it's Rubik's cube, restrained and spare. It could have been so perfect. But it isn't. Thank you for the rest of it.

Interesting expression and composition, but for me this feels too tight of a crop, especially given the pose. To me it ends up feeling like a picture of someone trying to fit inside a box or something.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: I really like this - I like the way that it doesn't try to conform to normal portrait conventions - the folded limbs, the high contrast, the stern expression - more than the sum of the parts.

Critical stuff: Not much - I'd have perhaps smoothed the right forearm just proximal to the wrist band a little.

Overall: Nice work.
