Oh this is beautiful. It amazes me that you got a wonderful capture...your timing is impeccable. The fact that bird has a bug in its mouth, and the wings show just a hint of motion blur. The DOF of the green is wonderful. Great Job.

Another perfect capture Harvey - the tiny birds are so difficult to get a great shot of (in the wild) as they seem to be able to see you faster and get outta dodge before you can bring your camera up. You must hunt in a lovely spot as so much of your b/gs are all green or close to it. Looking forward to more as usual.

Very similar to a hummer in size and flight. All photographed in the wild although this one was building her nest close to a residence.

She's pretty! I've never heard of them before. Are these birds flying in the wild where you life or is there some kind of preserve that they all flock to? And is this bird similar in structure to a hummingbird?
