It doesn't look good for the batsman. Very nicely captured. Focus is spot on

Comment by PenelopeK:
I can hear "How's that", even now, echoing down the years !! Nice action shot with a relatively low POV. Great to catch all that action, the bails mid air, the young man airborne. But the image does not seem to be horizontal, which is a shame.

I played cricket at school many years ago and vaguely recall that the bat or some part of the body has to be actually "grounded" inside the crease before the bails fall in order to be "not out", so I'm guessing this young man was "out".!

I still stick with the original. I like the background as it is. As said in other comments I will shoot from an angle or POV where the donuts are not, or are barely visible.

LOl - now, isn't that better? YOu might go even a bit further in backing off the blur to see what happens. But the change in color and definition that you've achieved here gives this magnificent bird a nicer background. (IMO of course)

oh, about the half-way point between the original bokeh and this one.

I also prefer none or very subtle if you must PP out the tell-tale mirror lens circles of confusion (donuts).

Done :) Click the middle thumbnail below...

Amazing image, of course. And yes, I also recognized the characteristic 'donut' bokeh.
