Daddy Didn't Visit....Againby neenee1999Comment by redmoon: okay, i'll get the title out o the way first, because frankly, it's a bit rubbish, and it does you photograph no good whatsoever. it feels too heavy handed and completely unnecessary. the shot says so much on it's own, and is so rich in character and feeling and emotion and mood that your title dilutes it. so i'm going to wipe your title from my mind and bask in the brilliance that is your artwork. it's brilliantly understated ,and lit so well fully embracing the environment in which it was taken. technically, it could do with being a little sharper (tripod on a timer?) and the only thin i would have done differently is cropped about half an inch to lose some of the glare at the top. the sepia is a perfect choice, it conveys a sad warmth... i like that your a good distance from the subject too; there is great composition here. very well done. 9. |

Daddy Didn't Visit....Againby neenee1999Comment by pineapple: Your title is like a lawyers leading question in court. It leeds one right up the garden path into believing. The image sits there awaiting the viewer. Both work very well together and evoke a strong sense of sad desolation. Considering many nations are littered these days with broken, divorced, one-parent families, this image I think can be understood by a wide audience. It is not repugnant - but very sad. |

great comp, nice leading line, light excellent, light pole almost distracting and a bit too close to model, great texture, blacks a bit deep, whites blown, great emotional value |

You Got To Be Kidding...I Want Smoked Salmonby neenee1999Comment by surfdabbler: Great expression in the composition. :) A little more contrast would be nice. I like the subtle varying pink tones through the image. A whiter non-gloss wall would be better for the background. But overall a nice shot. Well done... and how did you get the cat to not eat it? |

1968by neenee1999Comment by terje: Is that a radionette radio? Too bad the shadows don't come out as nice, maybe more strong light would have helped. Cool radio though! Hope you do well! |
