I like the extra light on the black background, but the lighting and focus on your main subject could be better. Wacky idea though. How did it taste? Did you put mustard or chocolate syrup on it?

Composition is awful. You've cropped off the bottom of your subject! IT's not truly centered! Your use of negative space on the right is sloppy. Since your subject is based on symmetry, then you need to take the time to make it TRULY symmetrical. Be more patient with your work and demonstrate a dedication to craftsmanship.

I hope people give you the benefit of the doubt with the mirror. Some people might not see it. This makes it very effective on me. Only thing I would've done differently, is a border and more cropping. The red platform that is on the far right lower corner is distracting from the symmetry of this shot. Nice picture!
