Great patterns on the water, and a beautiful sky. The people add a focal point that leads into the picture. Where I am, north of New York City, there's a foot of snow on the ground. Where was this taken?

Vertical shot gives good interest to the composition. I believe taking some of the bottom part out may help enhance the interest a bit more. The colors of the sky are absolutely beautiful, great hues of blue captured. Highlights in the water are also very nicely captured.

Greetings from the Critique Club: this is a lovely image and an interesting approach to the challenge. The colors are clear, compelling, and the composition (natural or artful or a combination) is satisfying. There is a nice leading movement for the eye toward the light. The light gets a little cold but it is acceptable given the seasonal naure of the image. Focus is good. It is also nice that there is depth to the image and not just one flat layer in the composition so that the whole image maintains some interest.

I find the grain in the sky distracting in this particular image. A little NeatImage might help clean this up and make it look more "pure".

This is a lovely shot, very peaceful and serene. The brightness of the water is very nice considering you can't see the sun, very well done there. The lightness of the shot is a bit wanting for me on the shore and the spots throughout the shot are a bit distracting. And the clarity is a also a bit wanting. I started at a 5 on this shot but am going to a 6

This image is quite grainy, but I like it a lot. The clouds, sparkling water and rocks in the foreground really combine to create a sacred mood.

Great light, good scene, but your camera has done horrible things with the noise and saturation, particularly in the clouds. Least I hope it was your camera.
