I would think most voters scores are made up of 2 parts, the first being for image quality and the second being for how well it connects to the challenge, IMHO this image misses out in both. I hope when you look at other images presented here that you get a sense of why this may be, if not, then I (or others) am happy to discuss after the challenge is over.

Lovely evocation of a way to go, as put forth so poetically in the title. Impressive in its accomplished suggestiveness, its rich understatement. The clouds about the pier or trestle are softly modulated, gray to white, backed by the hinted blue of, I believe, sky and water. I'll term the two white patches, by the upper left edge, ideas of birds. Honest, straightforward and hopeful. An image of deep empathy and affection.
Personal favorite in the challenge.
