Burning Skyby silverleafComment by Turbotech: Your idea is wonderful. It is the execution that could use a tad bit of help. yOu could improve on composition by using the rule of thirds for the sun. For some reason the color does not seem right. |

Burning Skyby silverleafComment by goodtempo: i think levels would help out here. the sky is a bit gray, and the hill is a dark gray. adjusting the levels to get some black in the hill and lighter sky might help. |

Burning Skyby silverleafComment by dsidwell: Good eye for this sunset! A bit more contrast--darker darks, for instance, might help the image pop even more by providing darker tones to contrast the sun's lighter ones? |

Burning Skyby silverleafComment by mtreit: Nice composition, though the grain is pretty distracting. I think the negative space usage could be stronger as well. |

Forest After Fireby silverleafComment by justesme: The overall image has a nasty blue tinge to it which could be fixed with software and I would have liked to see the colours of the ashes and such. There is this really distracting stump right in the middle at the bottom of the image which should be cropped off as it's firstly distracing and secondly doesnt look burnt enough. It has been cut at the top to show fresh looking bark.
However, well done. Good try. =) |

What a leaf might see looking out...by silverleafComment by kyrielle: I'm not so sure the leaf would see it, though perhaps. The bug seems more likely, once it has made that handy window. Nice framing on the daisies; in spite of that, I find the picture rather bland, and the lighting too harsh on the white portion of the flowers. (Less leaf and more flower might have helped in many ways, but it would have detracted from the needful display of the hole in the leaf, so....) |

What a leaf might see looking out...by silverleafComment by justesme: Nice idea. I understand the blurred leaf was meant to prevent it from distracting the flower, but I personally feel that it would not due to the brilliant whiteness. To see the veins of the leaf in detail would be great! Also, try to include the whote flower as at the moment, it feels incomplete and I'm forever looking for the ends of those petals. Well done, Good try =) |
