Nutsby dontpanicjlaComment by Melethia: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Hi Jorge, and welcome to DPC! Darn fine looking model you have for this shot, and I like the monochromatic processing a lot! For the challenge, I think it fits with the title you have, but as one commenter noted, it is title-dependent and some voters will score that poorly. Had you had an actual nut in the photograph, it may have done better. Challenge relevance needs to be very obvious to get high scores here.
Technically, some may tell you not to have a centered composition, but this one works for me - it enhances that "in your face" feel that you have here with the direct eye contact with the squirrel. Makes it almost agressive - and fun. A bit dark on the right side - a slight adjustment with shadows/highlights (legal in basic) would bring out that side a bit. Focus is good, clarity and sharpness pretty good as well.
Look forward to seeing more entries from you! If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a PM. |

Nutsby dontpanicjlaComment by ElevatorDancer: Cute picture, but I like the pictures to be self descriptive, and not have to rely on the titles. Hence the lower score. |
