Love the photo, but do not like the border. And I am guessing I will not be the only one who says that.
I think this photo would be equally strong, and probably stronger without it.
I really like the capture of this bird. Nice detail, and I like that he is looking over his shoulder at you. For some reason he strikes me as having a great sense of humor,
The photo is a little top heavy, but with a bird like that, I don't know how you would do it otherwise.

Quite harsh daylight but the sky is clear giving good BG, eye has catchlight, crisp and in focus. You normally see these little guys around or in water.

I can never get enough of the cala lily. This is a beautiful capture, with rich color & charming detail & a nice choice of camera angle which created this interesting crop. My eye is led to the water drop & stays there, so I wish there was more to it.

I think you have a very nice image going here. Good contrast, dark without being to dark, nice crop.
However I don't really like the border... personal taste.

Regardless of my taste on borders, one suggestion you might try would be to use a smaller white line as the thick ones grabs a lot of attention.

I think probably the factor behind the fairly low score (36%) is the lack of WOW factor, its a good image but not that exiting.
