Florida Goldby ddmckinney1954Comment by jenesis: You might try just a little softer lighting next time, seems a little harsh on the front orange especially. Good DOF though. |

Florida Goldby ddmckinney1954Comment by jmsetzler: The shallow depth of field works here... the lighting is a bit harsh for my taste. Subjectively, I can't find appeal overall. |

The Dawn of the Age of Aquariusby ddmckinney1954Comment by ellamay: Greetings from the CC, I think the elements that help to make your photo are the bird and the lighting. The photo does seem to tilt, not sure if the horizon is actually crooked or if seems so because of the sand in the lower left to lower right edge. I believe cropping this section out, tho leaving the bird a little tight would serve to create a 1/3 2/3 image a bit more. It may also help the viewer not to want to tilt head so much to look at it. The bird the sun add a nice balance to the shot, they create a good tension. If the shutter speed was a little faster it may have helped to get a bit sharper waves. Overall a nice sunset shot.
Well done and happy shooting! |
