Beautiful photograph. Excellent use of light, the black & white makes it even more powerful. Great focus, and composition. I don't necessarily see loneliness, but there looks like a sadness in her eyes. Fits the challenge well. What a wonderful image. 8

my reco would be to ask the subject for another facial expression...this one doesn't convey loneliness or solitude to me - she looks like she's about to smile. Having said that - and that's just my two cents - I can't read your notes on the pic, so maybe there is something to it that I don't know, so I won't factor that into my scoring. Technically it is a good picture. I enjoy the background alot, and the b/w aspect was a good choice for this category.
