stareby jackditchComment by zeuszen: It's refreshing to see photographs finding beauty where none was intended. The tonal range here is quite satisfying, the black (and near-black) foreground providing a perfect window (at approx. 1/3rd of total area) which successfully proliferates colour and detail right down to the texture of the wall, while preserving just the right amount of light (foreground and small light at top centre). The spatial perspective also adds considerable depth to this pic. If I strained to find fault, I'd note minimal overexposure at the lightest parts in the background (the overstuffed dumpster and, possibly, the pipe (top right 3rd) and wall texture (top left third).
Personally, the aesthetics of this picture appeal to me very much. Message edited by author 2005-07-22 19:56:29. |

stareby jackditchComment by Imagineer: There's something I like about this shot. It actually holds little interest really but it has good tones and ambience, despite a relatively weak right angle connection. |

stareby jackditchComment by faidoi: I like this image a lot. It leads your eyes toward the center or ladder of the picture, then he yellow of the columns bring your eyes to the left and you automatically scan the right of the picture and see a bike. Composition is very nice. |
