This is an extreme close-up, indeed. For my definition, this would not be really a macro shot, but you captured a great moment, with a good composition and DOF. Good job!

The expression on the face of this dog is both intelligent and intense yet at the same time cryptic as there is no related context which clarifies the thought. Great portrait alive with tones & textures.

Good capture. It is interesting (and a bit distracting) how your camera angle caught the dogs behind.
I would try and position your shot a little bit lower to better isolate the dogs head
This image works well for centered composition ..good luck
