Hmmm...I've commenting on many portraits that the eyes are oversharpened, and now I'm thinking here that the eye isn't sharp enough. Maybe I need more coffee? :-) Seriously...the focal point seems to be falling off just (and I mean JUST) before the area above the beak. It's not terrible or anything, just slightly softer than the feathers below and around the lower right. Sorry to nitpik this point...

I really like the different shading of the smoke in this picture, going between grey, orange and red.
I am sure you know that this picture is very grainy, which kind of detracts for me. Interestingly the mountains do not appear to have as much grain. Maybe cropping towards the bottom of half of the picture would make the noise less overwhelming.
