I'm sure it's already been said, but your subject is badly out of focus, and the on-board flash did not help.

If you were taking this image in the dark or near-dark, a tripod is necessary so you can forego the flash and use a longer shutter speed. Also, try a manual focus instead of letting the camera try to autofocus in a low-light situation.

I love daffodils and I also love that you attempted to capture one in the dark. However, I don't know if that technique worked to the benefit of the picture. The flower is out of focus and that detracts from the capture.
