I really like the golden colour of the duckling emphasised by the golden hour. I̢۪m assuming you̢۪ve used a rather wide aperture which resulted in the nose being in more focus than the eye. If that eye was in better focus I feel this would have made the image much more special. I do like the smooth water and the ripple effects around the duckling.

Although the duck looks a little moved (check it out in the eye) it gives the sensation that he's moving across the water. Simple but really nice.

Without the shadow this would have been an interesting and well produced shot. However, the shadow has moved this to a different level of artistic achievement that really appeals to me. Well done!
