wanna a ride?.JPGby yiannis723Comment by scalvert: This is easily the best photo in your portfolio IMO. The candid expression and obviously vintage truck create an interesting visual story, and the B&W conversion is excellent. I would probably crop the left side to move your subject out of the center to reduce the background distractions. Good work! |

freedomby yiannis723Comment by Dr.Confuser: Hmm ... you have apparently distorted this in ways I find surrealistic. I like it, but I'm not sure I can describe why. |

freedomby yiannis723Comment by Paul: OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: Wow! The distortion, however it was produced, works so well here - you have communicated a great sense of movement with this image - the lack of crisp focus and the low light adds to the dynamic feel too; it makes for an image that the sye struggle to hold on to.
Critical stuff: I can't think of anything you could change that would enhance it (and plenty of things that would diminish it).
Overall: Very interesting work - bold for a Free Study too! |

freedomby yiannis723Comment by snaffles: a great image, but looks like the dimensions were changed to max out the size of the pic and as a result the horse is very distorted.5 |
