IMO, this is a nicely composed shot, but it needs to be larger. The rules allow you to submit a photo that is 640 pixels on it's largest side -- yours is 444 pixels max.

Also, I think it could stand a tweak in contrast and brightness. I don't know if you have access to Photoshop, but working with curves is simple and effective. I don't know if they have curves in Photoshop Elements, but if you don't have curves, try an adjustment in brightness (a little darker) and contrast (a little more).

The sense of "moment" is present in this image and the obvious character being captured carries some visual impact. Technically, it appears to be very flat and slightly unfocused. From an artistic standpoint, it lacks impact. A worthy entry into the challenge just lacking that something special to make it stand out.

I wish this one was a little more focused on the boy with the kite. The colors also are a bit drab. I consider too much PP to take away from a truly candid shot but I think this photo could have used a little without being too obvious.
