I definately like what you are trying for. The masque is a pretty good subject, however, I believe that the doorway is too bright. A lot of the detail is missing..

I suspectthat English is not your first language, and that you have missed the mark with the subject of your entry due to an unfamiliarity with the term 'household appliance'. That said, you have a well composed shot, with a good use of the diagonal. I look forward to reading more about the location of the photograph once the challenge has finished.
