There seem to be a few of these bright light shots this week. It's my major sticking point with this image - that quality of light. The shadows are very harsh, that difference between light and shade is heavy. The sky, whilst better than simply blue, is not particularly interesting, and there's noise on those clouds. It also suffers from being a head-high shot, for me: you haven't allowed your subject to impose itself on the composition. It could happily have been colour-shifted a touch toward warmer tones (this is really quite cold), and seems tilted (whether or not it actually is, it has that feeling). Technically, in the sense of focus and exposure, it's fine: it's just a poor subject, and not well framed or presented. 4

Lots of bicycles, yup. this wold be more effective if you filled the frame with just the bikes. The river and trees are not important to the shot.

Too much detail, too small a space. In a different media, this would probably be an awesome shot (8x10 for example). At 640 by what ever, it's just too damn busy...

I like the effect of small splotches of color in the mess of bikes. It's also an interesting contrast with the natural backdrop - this image has a lot of interest to me on that ground. Well done.
