I think this pose is indicative of Jagars style. I see a lot of his subjects walking while looking at the camera. You did good with that. I think the rule of thumb for the composition is either include the full length of the person, feet and all, or take a 3/4 portrait above the knee. The legs kind of look like stumps if you don't get the feet.

I had wondered for a split second if this was you. Just something about the tree and sky. I think I'd like to have seen more contrast with a boost to the background. Artistically, you really are moving forward!

You know, this is a pretty peculiar shot. You have a silhouetted tree, which doesn't fill the frame, which is centered, and which has an off-kilter horizon (which is separate from being properly vertical). I like the negative black space a lot, I like the muted colors, a lot. I don't like the title, but it's probably because I live close enough to the PRB (that's People's Republic of Boulder, for you not in the know (I'll explain if needed)) that I see those damn stickers on practically everything and it drives me bonkers.

First, the gradient is flawless, one of the best I've seen. But even more, I love the choice of composition and use of the black space - very brave. Its placement, the composition of the slope broken by the centered tree is awesome. Reminds me of rooum's work.
