Lisae, titled as self portrait, this would have been seen as a bold, artistic move, but as the model/artist roles weren't clear, I had to question this. If this were me taking this of my wife, she agreed, my camera would be in pieces. I think my wife has a wonderful shape, but alas, she does not, so you won't be seeing this much of her, ever. Actually, I've met lisae, and she's not fat at all. People thinking she's fat in any way are short sighted and rather sad. She even belly danced for me! oooh baby!

I'm OK with all the comments, I guess I expected them. It's interesting that people think women will always get angry if someone takes an "unflattering" photo of them! I think that's actually what I really wanted to play with here, because the topic of "candid" is all about stripping away the artifice and getting to reality, and this kind of photo is as real as it can get for a woman. I got what I wanted, so I'm happy :)

As for people thinking I'm fat... well, I'm a short, top-heavy person and if you only see the top half I think it does make me seem larger than I am :). I'm not thin, that's for sure, but I like my body.
