It's sad that I didn't get to vote or comment on this challenge, because I've been on holiday, but wingy - your comment is exactly right! You touched on every decision I made with this photo. I was kind of depressed at the time because I'd put on some weight, and this challenge was kind of confronting. But I decided to go with a self-portrait and explore those feelings. Thanks for thinking about my photo :).

I think a tighter crop would help, although I think you might be leaving a wider shot in order to simulate an entire bathroom mirror with your shot. I think the title is vital to the shot, as alone I don't think it's particularly impressive in terms of expression or portraiture, however, if I think of it as you actually looking into a bathroom mirror suddenly it all starts to fit and seems to capture a look of dull self-evaluation that strikes me as very real. Although I could just be reading into it way to far. 8

I like the softness of this shot, but wish the model didn't look so sad - a more sensual feel would have been very nice. I would have cropped off quite a bit of the top - I just feel like I want a tighter crop on the subject.
