Something like this perhaps to get rid of the bench and keep the bird as the main point of interest ..

You got an unusual angle on the wings in this shot, and by lining the body up with the plane of focus, managed to get the entire body to come out sharp. The bokeh is excellent for the subject, and the cell walls of the wings stand out nicely with the overhead light. It's a very nice macro, and a pleasing subject to look at.

I love the focus, the scene, the lighting, the colors, pretty much everything. Maybe my only nitpick is the tight crop (I want to see the whole cat) and the distracing clutter in the background on the nightstand. But I love this!
