Lines Leading Nowhereby GeneralEComment by nova: I feel that in this photo, the lines ARE the subject, but I think that the idea is to use lines in a photo to direct attention to and enhance a subject that is a different part of the photo. My take, anyway. (4) |

Headed Homeby GeneralEComment by L1: I can see where you're coming from with the title and the connection to darkness...it's unfortunate that the average DPC voter doesn't make the kinds of connections necessary to do so in an average 2 second viewing. The large patch of light is enough for most to say "DNMC" and click the 4 or below. I like the composition; the left side feels a bit crowded from the pillar running along there. I think if you had shot it at twilight, a step or so more to your right, this image would have scored higher for you. :) |

Lines Leading Nowhereby GeneralEComment by zdanielr: Ouch...this image has been abused by some manic photoshopper ayh? Harsh color treatment completely ruins the image, and it also needs more creativity in my opinion, for example by way of shallow DOF and another angle |
