Those are lychee "nuts" from China or Southeast Asia, still in their outer "rind." The insides are a fragrant, slightly gelatinous pulp with a fairly large seed. You can probably find them canned in a major supermarket, and fresh in Asian markets when in season. They're great cold on a hot day ...

Nice frameing Paul. Just a tiny bit over lit in the center for my taste but over all a real good shot and a good choice for the challenge.
Not at all what I expected to see from you as you is usually far out.
