My father was serving a tour in Vietnam in 1968. Good job compiling items that shaped events from this year. The gun is not lit very well and there are some really blow out spots on the guitar strap. Would have liked to see more detail in the guitar strings as well.

I like the subject, the comp. is a bit off tho. I would have liked to have seen more of each object shown, crop maybe is too tight. This could have been titled "War and Peace" (if the challenge description had not stated that the title was to be the 'year'). The pistol seems to clash with the peace sign and guitar. I am assuming that that is on purpose, to reflect the time, and the change in the social conscious...the war and the war protesters...... Or am I just reading too much into it?

I instantly feel the time period so good for you on capturing the challenge. You have an impossible dynamic range to capture here. I see a piece of the white cloth that is blown out and parts of the gun have no detail in the black. I would have like to have seen more details in the gun, without getting any brighter on the cloth.

No Gen., I rather like the dark corners...even better if the green were darker like the magnolia leaves. Being able to see thru the glass to the far windows is quite a good thing too. I doubt this could have been done without a longer than normal exposure. Yea, the white is a bit bright but you can probably fix this in ps. Far site better than where it placed.
