Thanks, that's about my third near-miss in recent weeks. I wonder what the record is for consecutive bottom-three finishes ... : ) |

Flowers Never Bend ...by GeneralEComment by GeneralE: Originally posted by jmlelii: Theres just too much confusion here in this photo. The flash against the glass also distracts. |
No flash, no glass -- just OOF shot of flowers being watered, with bright overhead sunlight.

Thanks, that was the effect I saw in this too -- I've never really done it before without using a filter, but this one is basically straight out of the camera. With this particular subject, I liked the OOF effect. |

Flowers Never Bend ...by GeneralEComment by Rikki: unfortunately, nothing seems to be in focus. it's hard to think that the purple objects are flowers as the focus doesn't do them justice. 5 |

Grande Finaléby GeneralEComment by Tammer: Uhm... I see where you are coming from with the thought, but for me this photo didn't fit as well as the others submitted and personally, I would like this better had it been crisper and more focused. |

Belfry-HiKeyVig_IMG_7230-DPC.jpgby GeneralEComment by mycelium: I find myself much more drawn to this picture than the challenge entry as well. The post processing makes a huge difference to me: in this one the white space looks intentional, and in the other it looked accidental. This is a gentle and soothing image (and more impressive to me for you use of white, which I am forever afraid to use!). |
