So Sixties ...by GeneralEComment by okiesisi: Greetings from the Critique Club!!
Congrats on being brave enough to try something new! You really do have a wonderful subject to work with. About the blue/green, it is entirely a matter of opinion, some will love it, others will hate it. It does work very well will the way she is dressed and the title. As for your composition and focus, I like it. Looks like a fun way to "fix" a harshly lit picture. Good work and keep shooting!

The Other Sideby GeneralEComment by Tammer: I'm trying to figure out what the foreground object is, but I'm not sure, and that is one BIG, UGLY spider (shivers) :) |

Camouflageby GeneralEComment by Faye Pekas: I see what you are going for here. Clever idea. The colors are a bit washed out giving the photo a flat look. Maybe putting the subject less centered would have helped too. Good luck. :) |

The Other Sideby GeneralEComment by LeeD: I'm guessing the "destination" is the other side of the road? The lighting is a bit harsh and the reflector takes away from the image more than it adds (too blurry). Granted it adds interest to the image, otherwise you just have a picture of a spider on a road. I think this could be better with different cropping and/or composition to show more of the road in front of the spider. Maybe a lower viewpoint more on the level of the spider. |
