Fountains and Talismanby GeneralEComment by train: This image seems to be very bitty and It is hard to know where to actually look
The use of the car window is good but it really does not frame an interesting part of your image |

Fountains and Talismanby GeneralEComment by e301: I don't see what this gains from being such a very wide shot - at least, given your title as a guide to your intended subject. For instance - the rear-view mirror would have been enough to suggest 'car' to us, and getting that close would have allowed us a much more detailed view of the fountains. There's a certain interest in tha shapes of the talisman and the water, but it's swamped by the broadness of your frame, i think. |

Fountains and Talismanby GeneralEComment by UNTITLED: A little on the busy side and I am not sure what the window is framing. It's a great idea and has some real potential with a better angle. |

Behold a Pale Eggby GeneralEComment by GeneralE: Originally posted by fotodude: the post prosses here is very drastic and i can see the eadges, next time watch for that with feathering or blend it better in another way so it is less appearent. also using DoF to achieve the same resould would have saved time and been a cleaner image in the end.....its a nice cover also but doesn't strike me as a studio portrait...this is based on the difused/and somewhat flat light (as from a cloudy day)... a spot simple home light set up and it would read more as studio... |
You are quite right on two points -- sloppy masking and an outdoors shot. I was rushed in my editing (shot the last day) and had zero indoor portraiture opportunities during the week. My camera will only achieve a shallow DOF on macros, hence my attempt to achieve it in post-processing. |
