The theme/idea you've used has potential. It fits the challenge and the photo doesn't need some drawn out title to explain it. The image does need a little more attention to detail IMO. Either the DOF is too shallow or the hand moved a little because the fingers seem blurry. For a B/W photo the tonal range seems short. Your black could be darker and the white a truer white. Some of this could be easily adjusted via a histogram adjustment or a slight bump using curves or levels. A small shot of contrast might help as well. There is also some graininess (or noise) that takes away from the photo. Use a lower ISO, run it thru a noise reduction program, or go all the way on noise and add more intentionally.

That's why I wanted to use this version where I highly-accentuated the motion blur, but I was informed that it was "too much" ...
