I really like the idea and colors . . . the light from below seems almost too strong, I feel like I'm losing the gumdrops. Maybe it's the OCD in me, but I'd like the white layer to be continuous and the green to have their own. Super great colors - nice work!

I like how you changed it from a normal sensor-format shot to almost a panorama. I find myself doing that a bit these days as well. I think it shows how a crop can change the whole feel of a picture. Good editing choice!

We have a much smaller one here in the botanical garden, called the "voodoo lily" & smells like rotten meat, attracting flies & little boys in equal numbers. Its a dreadful old-blood color w/a single petal & a very long inflorescence. I'll look for a shot for you. [eta] this is a great one, & I've always wanted to get one of these!

Yes! We've got or used to have a smaller version of this beastie, Dracunculus/is something, and when the sun hits it it smells something awful, and though a bit phallic it made no political comment. (Very nice shot).

An obvious improvement over the original. I like the green tones and the placement of the foggy hill. The thing that's most distracting is that the fog is slightly purple, and doesn't quite look natural.

Allright, this really looks kind of cool, but I think the grain is a serious issue. I do love the exquisite shade of blue though, and the mysterious shapes and shadows, and it meets the challenge quite well IMO.
