The white paper is WAY too distracting from the feather & inkwell. Maybe have the inkwell on the paper, along with a bit of writing, and crop much tighter to show only a portion of the page?

I love this cemetery (at least if its the one in Oakland by that name), but I think you could have framed this a lot tighter to create a more intriguing composition. The light on the far mausoleum is nice, and it really pops out of the dark green background of the trees.
