You may have truly pulled off the brown here. The composition is weak at best. You would have done better to square up the laptop to have the top of your image match up with the monitor top edge, and not tilted. The lighting is very flat. Sorry but I do not see a lot of effort put into this shot to improve on it's previous brown ribbon version.

I think a story could be told with the image, but if the subject is the boy the focus should be there as well. I don't think the composition truly tells the story well either
