An incredible image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done.

Thank you. I was very happy with how the sparks (eventually) trailed but I wasn't sure whether there was too much movement in the blacksmith. I was starting to stress trying to get this shot as the bus had arrived with the next lot of tourists!

Thanks for commenting - I was wondering that as well. I felt that to crop gave it more impact. My post processing skills are still very limited so hopefully I can learh quick enough to at least get the scale of my photos right!

what a pretty spot, you still scored very high with me, but I would have bumped it up if the tones were just a little richer...not even sure how to achieve that but I am hoping I will learn from this challenge

Thanks again. The Pinnacles is an eerie landscape. This particular morning the light was fabulous and the air so crisp and clean. The polariser and setting the camera to vivid was the limit of the adustments. I was so fortunate to be there and see such a sunrise.
