Condimentsby BAMartinComment by JuliBoc: Oooo, razzle-dazzle. Love all the ziggy lines. It's almost dizzying. (Did I get enough 'Z's in that comment?) |

Sleepyby BAMartinComment by Melethia: Just the right amount of pop, I think. I love that spread of feathers in the left-center foreground. In fact, I wonder what it would look like as a squarish crop? Try cutting a bit off the left side, maybe to the edge of the neck, and keep the two feathers sticking up on the right - crop the rest. Like so:
(All that said, 'tis lovely as it is!) Message edited by author 2009-05-15 15:59:42. |

Red Parrotby BAMartinComment by Melethia: This is one of those instances where Topaz doesn't help with the background much. I find it tends to pull it forward if that makes sense. I suck at masking, but if you can do it, you may want to mask off the bird and just apply the Topaz to it. |

Peacock Windowby BAMartinComment by Melethia: Love the portrait drama setting - it really brings out detail nicely without overdoing it - and it worked marvelously here! I have no idea what Topaz Clean is. And did you up the color saturation a touch in Drama? I find it tends to desat a bit, and this looks like it has full glorious color. Lovely shot, too! |

Red Parrotby BAMartinComment by bassbone: really nice details you were able to pull out in the parrots feathers. I agree with the others, the background is a bit blotchy now...maybe a bit of blur to get rid of the bumps? |
